Mt Hood Shopping
As you drive east on HWY 26, just before you enter the Mt Hood National Forest, there are four small towns,
each consisting of a couple stores and restaurants and perhaps a U.S. Post Office.
The towns are Brightwood, Welches, Zigzag, and Rhododendron all within about four miles of the National Forest.
In Brightwood and ZigZag, there are country stores that do a good job of stocking essentials including fishing supplies.
In Welches there is a Thriftway Supermarket and an Ace Hardware which provide good variety to meet your mountain
needs. Rhododendron has a grocery store that carries essentials.
